According to Yang, the beauty of being human is not only having the courage to face the dark side of one’s inner world but, more importantly, finding a way to bravely restrain and lock this darkness in the abyss. She wants her pieces to become a bridge for the audience to begin the process of self-reflection in order to face their fear of primal human nature. To achieve this she uses a variety of organic forms and geometric structures to trigger a dialogue with the inner self.
