Queer Beard

Inspired by visual elements found in historical LGBTQ movements especially the gender symbols, Dian build her work on a creative review of the proud history of queer right fights. The neck/face piece is constituted by a connection of random gender symbols, especially non-binary LGBTQ symbols. The piece is supposed to be worn around the chin line to mimic long facial hair -- a beard that is full of LGBTQ symbols, thus questions the rigid recognition of gender or gender stenotype.
