Art. 128

The spherical ring head is completely covered with small, stemmed nubs. Each nub is engraved with a cross, which reflects light in all directions. The ring head is therefore covered with a sparkling glow of light in the sunlight. The finger ring was molded in wax and cast using refractory clay, charcoal, and horse manure in the lost wax melting process. After casting, the hard-fired mold is cracked open and it becomes apparent whether the unique piece has succeeded or failed.
