Gun For a Mouth (Bullet with Your Name)

Art. 104

This one of a kind brooch can be worn or displayed on a stand. The photographs used in this piece use the artist as a model, and were transferred to an enameled surface using a laser etcher and colorized using china paints. Although the techniques and equipment used are fairly advanced, there is still a strong conceptual tie to the photography and jewelry of the Victorian era. The "pearl" ring around the brooch is made from bullet casings, a balance of hard and delicate, masculine and feminine.
