Independent and multi-award-winning jewellery business Bradley’s Jewellers York, which was recently named ‘Retail Jeweller of the Year’ at the National Association of Jewellers Awards 2023, has added new designs to its hugely successful Yorkshire Rose collaborative collection with esteemed jewellery house Fabergé.

Joining the range is the 18k gold Fabergé Yorkshire Rose brooch, which mirrors the shape of the iconic floral bloom that’s become an enduring symbol of the region. The Yorkshire Rose emblem is decorated with hand-painted white and green enamel and set with a central, brilliant-cut yellow sapphire surrounded by five colourless diamonds. The outer leaves are brought to life with responsibly mined pear-cut Zambian emeralds by a world-leading miner and marketer of coloured gemstones, Gemfields.

Just six of the Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Brooch, created and designed by Kay Bradley, are exclusively available for sale at Bradley’s Jewellers York on Low Petergate. Customers can choose from 18k white gold, yellow gold or rose gold.

Further new additions include a pair of Yorkshire Rose stud earrings decorated with white and green lacquer and set with a central round brilliant-cut yellow sapphire surrounded by five round brilliant-cut diamonds. Finally, the Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Collection has been enhanced with a pair of earrings with iconic Fabergé egg-shaped drops. This quintessential design is crafted in lacquer, yellow sapphire and diamonds with a golden drop.

Both earring designs are available in 18k yellow gold, white gold and rose gold to suit the customers' preference and match other creations in the Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Collection, which includes the Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Egg Charm and the Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Egg Surprise Locket.

Bradley’s Jewellers founder and jewellery designer Kay Bradley says,

“I am proud to be born and raised in Yorkshire. The city of York is a vital part of my identity, both personally and professionally, and it is lovely to give something back in partnership with Fabergé. These new additions are a perfect accompaniment to existing pieces and will support customers in building a full suite of fine jewellery that pays homage to the region.”

The collaboration between Bradley’s Jewellers York and iconic luxury house, Fabergé, began in December 2021 and captured attention with the launch of the Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Egg Surprise Locket in March 2022. This signature piece in the collection is a working locket that opens to reveal a sapphire and diamond Yorkshire Rose decorated with five lacquered leaves to represent the regions of Yorkshire. Bradley’s Jewellers York debuted the piece to the public at a gala evening attended by senior Fabergé spokespeople at North Yorkshire-based stately home, Castle Howard, in April 2022. All the available Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Egg Surprise Lockets, priced at RRP £7,000, sold out on the night. Thanks to the success of this launch, the range won in the Fine Jewellery category of Professional Jeweller magazine’s Collections of the Year initiative in December 2022.

Bradley continues,

“From the moment we kickstarted our collaboration with Fabergé, the success has been phenomenal. Our debut range of Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Egg Surprise Locket pendants sold out immediately. We have now sold pieces from the collection to customers from around the globe, from Frankfurt to Florida! We are thrilled to replenish this collection and introduce new, bespoke designs, like the Yorkshire Rose Egg Drop Earrings and Yorkshire Rose Brooch, to allow more people to celebrate their Yorkshire roots.”

Looking ahead, Bradley’s Jewellers will continue to develop its Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Collection alongside its own-brand The York Rose bridal and fine jewellery offering, which also boasts decorative elements in the shape of the White Rose emblem.

This latest phase in the Fabergé for Bradley’s Jewellers collection is part of an ambitious five-year plan to create an exclusive, one-of-a-kind Fabergé Yorkshire Rose Easter Egg, which will be handcrafted by esteemed Fabergé Workmasters, put on display locally and eventually auctioned.

Yorkshire is the largest county in the United Kingdom. The Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and the Peak District national parks lie within its borders. Its emblem is the Yorkshire White Rose – the seal of the English royal House of York – and the motif can be viewed widely across the area.

All new items are marked with the King Charles Coronation commemorative hallmark, applied by the Birmingham Assay Office, in addition to sponsor’s marks that are unique to Kay Bradley and Bradley’s Jewellers York.
