Magnificent emeralds headline Bonhams California Jewels sale
LOS ANGELES – Bonhams presents a magnificent collection of jewelry to be brought to auction at Bonhams Los Angeles on May 9.
The collection features vibrant colored stones, brilliant diamonds, and a significant collection of Grecian jewelry by artists such as Ilias Lalaounis and Zolotas from a private Sonoma California estate. The 339-lot auction spans the decades from the early 20th century to modern contemporary pieces.
Leading the sale is an impressive collection of iconic jeweler Oscar Heyman & Brothers, a renowned American designer known for exquisite craftsmanship and gemstone selection
since 1912.

rectangular step cut emerald of Colombian origin weighing 5.89 carats and two
trapezoidal diamonds of approximately 3.35 carats. The ring is offered with an
estimate of US$30,000-50,000.
• An Oscar Heyman & Brothers emerald and diamond line bracelet featuring
graduated rectangular step-cut emeralds of Zambian origin, weighing 19.64 carats
with baguette diamonds weighing 6.07 carats, set in platinum. Offered with an
estimate of US$20,000-30,000.
