Gembridge launches “Out of Africa” gemstones collection

Digital marketplace Gembridge has launched its “Out of Africa” collection, inspired by the popular movie and reflecting the romance of coloured gemstones, featuring an extraordinary array of rare and beautiful stones from across the continent, from tourmalines to tsavorites, which are found only in Africa, to aquamarines and spessartines, and more.

Apart from diamonds, Africa is one of the richest continents to host a large variety of coloured gemstones. Many deposits are in eastern Africa such as Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, and in Madagascar.

“Just like the movie, our ‘Out of Africa” collection is a love affair, so be mesmerized by every colour, every sparkle that our collection has to offer,” says Gembridge’s Commercial Director Jean Jureidini.

“The magic that Africa has is not only because of its breathtaking scenery and landscape, but also because this vast continent casts a spell on you through the largest amount of different gems that few other parts of the world have to offer.”

Gembridge is offering an exquisite assortment of stones, each accompanied by a Gembridge report stating its origin in Africa, and outlining key specifications, such as colour, cut and carat weight.

The marketplace offers a bespoke service for those customers who would like their gemstone purchases to be crafted into gorgeous jewellery designs of their own choosing.

“Admire those gems on Gembridge, choose your favourite stone, and let us personalise your jewellery,” Jean Jureidini, an experienced jeweller, says.

“Our team of professionals would be more than delighted to customize your stone for you to tell a story, or symbolize a special date.”

Here is a selection of a few of the gemstones, curated by Jean Jureidini and offered as part of Gembridge’s “Out of Africa” collection. Jean talks about why he has highlighted these stones:

“Lot 23277 – green tourmaline: Despite its small size, this well-proportioned “mint-green” tourmaline displays a captivating colour, for a very appealing and affordable price. Usually green tourmalines have a dark “grass-green ” colour. A “must-have” stone, ideal to adorn the centre of a bespoke ring.

“Lot 21543 – soft pink tourmaline: This year pink is in fashion and is a highly in-demand and sought-after colour. A very well-priced gem for its relatively large size. Ideal for a brooch or the centre of a necklace.

“Lot 20715 – an untreated tsavorite in a typical rich green colour. Usually tsavorites are not found in large sizes, and this spectacular 2.06 cts stone, would be a delightful addition to any gem lover’s collection.

“Lot 2587 – an 83.70-ct, beautifully cut and well proportioned “baby blue” aquamarine at a very affordable price that looks like a clear spring sky on a sandy exotic beach.”Gembridge offers digital marketplaces for both retail customers and the coloured gemstones trading community.
