Sumaya AlJazeeri, a Bahraini artist at heart and a jewelry enthusiast, often escaped the grueling demands of her finance job by immersing herself in the world of jewelry. A year ago, while on vacation, her inner artist, abandoned for 20 years, was awakened by a Nishapur turquoise cabochon she had always dreamt of finding. Moved and inspired, her desire to transform the rare gemstone into a unique piece of fine jewelry marked her return to art through jewelry design.
